And we will ride to throngs of adorable Balinese children will be there calling out 'hellos' and wanting 'high fives' on the way down. If we chance upon a ceremony (and we often do) you will be invited to witness the events and our guides will offer explanations.
We will show you a Bali other visitors never see and our experienced guides will explain this amazing culture and the relationship the Balinese have with their beautiful island.
We have numerous stops on the way, including a visit to a Balinese home/compound, (where you get to see firsthand how the Balinese live outside the tourist areas), a Balinese plantation (where you learn of the medicinal and culturally important uses of local plants, the process of making coffee and see many of the spices you have used in cooking and tropical fruits growing in their natural environment. We also get to sample many exotic tropical fruits, local herbal teas and coffees, including Coffee Luwak, (the most unusually produced and most expensive coffee in the world). We will also stop off at a village temple, an enormous Banyan tree and see stunning rice paddy panoramas. We will go for a short walk in the rice paddies to see villagers planting and harvesting rice (you can join in) and see traditional craftsmen at work en route.
Lunch, served in a restaurant, set in the serene surrounds of rice paddies, is a delectable Balinese feast, including the smoked duck/chicken the guide books rave about. We also cater for vegetarians and can accommodate children with special meals.
Our car also follows us down the mountain in case anyone is not feeling well.

Hotel: Sunari Lovina RESORT
The Sunari Lovina Resort is one of the oldest hotels right on the beach of Lovina, but unlike many other hotels in Lovina it is very well maintained, with a jovial and friendly service, and the beautiful rooms offer all comforts, such as aircon, TV, fridge, a terrace or a balcony, and a bathroom with shower. The resort has a large beachfront pool (with children's pool) and a restaurant serving local and international dishes.
Day 8: Lovina - Dolphin Watching - Snorkel - Bali National Park (palasari) (B / L / D)
Another beautiful day ahead, full of action, surprise and amazement. The day starts very early. Around 6 am you will board a 'local' boat and travel up to the Indian Ocean, looking for schools of dolphins, who normally begin to jump and tumble at sunrise. The freshness of the morning, the sunrise behind the mountains of central Bali and leaping dolphins, again, something that will be etched forever in the memory..
Afterwards the tour group will return to the hotel for breakfast and to check-out.
You will then be driven half an hour further west bound, and once again board a local boat, going to Menjangan island.'
Menjangan Island is an uninhabited tropical island and is part of the protected National Park Bali.
The island is surrounded by coral reefs and underwater gardens with marine life which is absolute world class and even the most experienced divers will be surprised at the great diversity of marine life that exists here. Along with a snorkel guide, you can also go snorkeling over this colorful and magical underwater world.
Even for the inexperienced snorkeler, your guide will be happy to teach and assist with techniques. A small lunch (box) will be included.
After the snorkel tour you will drive along the forests of the protected natural park to the village 'Palasari', where our new hotel is located. Here awaits yet another surprise, because you will spend two nights in the almost surreal fairytale, 'boutique', Taman Wana Villas & Spa.Dinner in the villas is included.
Palasari: is located on the west side of Bali, and is known for its unique blend of Hinduism and Catholicism, which in the course of time have flowed into each other. Here there is an absolutely brilliant Catholic Cathedral, surrounded by tropical greenery, and built by a popular Dutch missionary. Attending a church service in this Cathedral is a unique experience, as the rituals of both religions mix together accompanied by exotic gospel music.
TAMAN WANA VILLAS & SPA: This is a truly marvelous boutique resort, situated in a breathtaking area.Your stay in the villas will definitely a highlight and an experience never to be forgotten. The spacious villas are very luxuriously furnished and equipped with every comfort including a balcony or terrace with panoramic views over the forest and rice fields .
Day 9: Bali National Park Expedition (palasari) (B / L / D)
EXPEDITION IN THE NATIONAL PARK:
You will be picked up at the villa before dawn, board a local boat and a half hour trip, above the coral reefs, takes you to a deserted white beach, deep within the Park. Just after sunrise you can enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast picnic, on the beach.
The beach here has beautiful views of the volcanoes of Java, and provides truly breathtaking moments: imagine, a white coral beach on a clear sea, full of marine life, surrounded by jungle, overlooking the magical volcanoes, and with some luck the presence of monkeys and deer all around you, all in the freshness of the morning ...
Afterwards, a 2 to 3 hour-long gentle trek, accompanied by an official Park Ranger through the jungle and mangrove. Enjoy the beautiful vegetation and unique animal life, such as schools bog black long tailed monkeys, leguana's, leopards, deer, tropical colored birds and butterflies, wild pigs, etc. (The gentle trek is suitable for anyone with a normal walking ability. Presence of animals cannot be predicted). In the jungle a delicious picnic lunch awaits. Followed by a visit to the breeding center of the "Bali Starling 'bird of paradise. This sparrow-like bird is extremely rare, and only a few birds are spotted in the wild. On the black markets thousands of dollars for an exemplar are offered.. so it is no surprise that the breeding center is almost secretly hidden deep inside the forest, and almost military style guarded. The bird is also the official fauna symbol of Bali.
After the expedition , you will transfer back to the Taman Wana Villas and spend a further free afternoon and evening. Dine in the villas (this is included in the tour cost) and spend the night.
For groups of minimum 12 persons :
An exclusive Paradise Night!
A beautiful and typical Balinese dance and music performance by the local population. Music is performed by a gamelan 'bamboo ' orchestra ' Jegog ' which produce exciting exotic rhythms.
Accompanied by the music is a Balinese dance performance held by children from the local dance school. Unforgettable! A very unique experience is the ' Joged Bumbung ' dance. This is an "erotic dance of seduction" , which is only danced by young virgin girls . Due to the exciting and erotic nature of the dance, it is the most popular dance in Bali (especially loved by men !) , and is only performed during temple festivals and in particular by the termination of a successful rice harvest . This particular dance is rarely seen in the hotels ...
Indeed, many of the male staff could be entranced by this dance! A night never to forget.
Day 10: Palasari - Sanur / South Bali (B)
You will have breakfast at the hotel, and have a free morning to enjoy the villa and surrounding area. Take an optional bicycle tour or go hiking in the area. Take a visit to the Cathedral, enjoy a massage or spa treatment, and optionally there is the opportunity to go deep sea fishing on the nearby Indian Ocean (weather depending).
Around noon, you travel to your final destination, the white beaches of the bustling southern Bali ...
We have booked you a bungalow room 'in the iconic Grand Bali Beach Resort, in the charming and characteristic' seaside village of Sanur.
The resort offers all the facilities and amenities one can imagine, an 8-hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, several restaurants, etc..
The spacious and fully furnished bungalow rooms are located only approx 50 meters from one of the most beautiful beachs in South Bali ... with breathtaking sunrises.
Sanur: unlike the other famous beach resorts of southern Bali, such as Kuta, Legian and Seminyak, Sanur has managed to retain its typical Balinese character. There is a mile long white beach, protected by coral reefs, and along the beach you can walk on a 5km long pedestrian and bicycle promenade. There are a lot of nice shops and a very wide choice of restaurants. There are no shopping malls, and there is no night life ... but these are found in Kuta area, just half an hour away by a cheap taxi..
