Day 1: Arrival in Yogyakarta - Magelang

Arrival at Yogya airport, welcome by our local guide, and direct transfer to Magelang.
Check-In in the hotel, and free time for leisure. Overnight.

Day 2: Magelang & Borobudur

Early wake up call. Transfer to a nearby panoramic view to experience the magical and spiritual moment of the sunrise above the magnificent Borobudur, its surrounding jungles and volcanoes.. An experience never to forget. Of course..no one can predict the quality of the sun rise..

Once the gates open, usually around 6am, a visit inside the Borobudur area, accompanied by a temple guide. Enjoy this world heritage Buddhist monument before the tourist crowds arrive.. Afterwards visit the nearby cute Buddhist temples of Candi Mendut and Candi Pawon. Optionally you might wish to take an elephant tour around the Borobudur area.

Back to the hotel, and free further day for leisure. Overnight.

Hotel: The Plataran Borobudur

Day 3: Magelang - Yogyakarta

Breakfast in the hotel, and check-out. Transfer to Yogyakarta, and check-in in the hotel. Afterwards a Yogya city tour in an old unique vintage car. Riding along boulevards lined with tamarind trees, which conjure up images of old –Dutch- styled colonial buildings. Visit several of the highlights of this city, like; the Palace of the Sultan, the Water palace, the old handicraft area 'Kota Gede', a batik and silver workshop, and relax while being driven by a 'Becak' bicycle taxi.

Evening: enjoy a wonderful dance and music performance of the 'Ramayana legend' in an open air theatre, accompanied with an Indonesian buffet dinner.

Day 4: Yogyakarta - Prambanan

Breakfast in the hotel. Today another highlight; a visit to the fantastic Hindu 'Prambanan Temples'. Afternoon: free time to enjoy the hotel facilities, or stroll along the famed 'Malioboro Street' and enjoy the local culture. Overnight. Hotel: The Phoenix

Day 5: Departure

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to the next destination, or continue with a Java overland trip (ask us for suggestions).
