Experience Komodo & Flores

Flores, in East Indonesia and one of the lesser Sunda Islands, is the new hotspot for those traveling the archipelago, especially since Garuda Airlines recently launched direct flights from Bali to Flores.

The west coast of Flores is one of the few places, aside from the islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar itself, where the Komodo dragon can be found in the wild, and is part of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Kelimutu National Park is the second national park designated on Flores to protect endangered species.

Apart from the Komodo Dragons, the most famous tourist attraction in Flores is Kelimutu, a volcano containing three colored lakes, located in the district of Ende close to the town of Moni. These crater lakes are in the caldera of a volcano, and fed by a volcanic gas source, resulting in highly acidic water. The colored lakes change colors on an irregular basis, depending on the oxidation state of the lake from bright red through green and blue..

Labuan Bajo (on the western tip of Flores) is a town often used by tourists as a base to visit Komodo and Rinca. Labuanbajo also attracts scuba divers, as whale sharks inhabit the waters around Labuan Bajo.
For those with a few days extra, it is certainly worth to spent a night or two on Kanawa Island.

This little tropical -Robison Crusoe style- island lies near Komodo Island and Labuan Bajo/Flores in East Indonesia. Kanawa Island is the perfect destination for relaxing, snorkeling, diving and enjoying the exotic island life. Ideally for a few days after exploring the Komodo and Rinca Islands and Flores

Those traveling in Flores should be a bit flexible when it comes to the accommodations, as at most places the hotels available are not of those standards found on other islands, although Labuan Bajo has a wide variation, with The Plataran Komodo being our favorite.

We have exciting packages, from 2 Days / 1 Night up to 10 days, to Komodo & Flores.
We have as well special designed trekking, eco tours, tribes tours, photography tours, and boat overnight trips.
